The story of MILKY AND CHOTU

Authors note: this story is written By Darshan Swaroop. This story is about a golden retriever who found an owner named ‘‘Chotu’’. The golden retriever was soon named ‘‘Milky’’. Chotu was just 10 years old when he found Milky. Then soon came another pup named “Bruno” who is a pug. Milky didn’t like Bruno because he was loved by everybody, but no one liked Milky anymore. So Milky ran out of the house and joined some lost dogs and after some days it was sad days for Chotu but happy days for Milky. While Chotu got scratched Milky enjoyed. When days was bad for Chotu, it was good for Milky. Fears starts chasing Chotu while Milky enjoys the fears. After so many months they met but in a sad way. Which was the way that Chotu kidnapped and Milky injured. A fight was over, and they met again with happiness and loveliness. How Milky and Chotu met?

This story started in Kerala. There was a boy named Chotu. He was only 10 years old, but he works in the field with his dad Suresh and mom Anita. They were a poor family, they barely had a home to live not enough food and Chotu didn’t went to school because they didn’t have enough money to send him to school, but they wanted him to go to school and help them by being a big boy. Chotu and his dad would sell the rice in their small rickshaw. But something happened after saving a lot of salary they got, his dad finally got 20 lacks! He doesn’t know how his dad got this much money, but they were happier than ever. He like it. He enjoyed it. Very soon they had a nice house to live, they didn’t have to go to field every morning to night and they had enough food to eat. But most important Chotu can go to school now.
While Chotu going to school he saw a beautiful dog in the roadside. He quickly took it and kept it inside his bag but oh no…... He is late. He should reach the school by 9:00 but it was 9:10. He ran and ran and ran as fast as he could and at finally, he reached the school by 9:12 (so fast right?). But his teacher Sir Paresh is very angry and strict, so he gave him a punishment to stand on hands for 11 minutes, but Chotu cracked the record. He stood for 14 minutes how tricky! He was sad while returning to home because if he shows dad the puppy dad would say no but for surprise dad said yes! They named the puppy Milky. Milky is a female breed of Golden retriever who was abandoned and had no owner to look after. So, after 3 months she was very big but beautiful. One day when Chotu was playing with Milky. His dad bought him a new pet doggy. They soon named it Bruno. Bruno was a Male breed of pug. After 3 months Bruno was big and after that everybody started to love him. Milky felt jealous about Bruno. That night Milky barked loudly letting no one to sleep then dad came and scold Milky with a scary face of dad. Milky was really sad and too jealous because dad was not looking after her but looking after Bruno all the time. Dad wouldn’t clean Milky, play with Milky, walk with Milky and now everything goes to Bruno. Then the next night Milky ran out of their house and to the woods.

Looking for Milky.
Sunday, a wonderful day. Chotu went down to hug Milky and Bruno but one small problem, there was no Milky. He ran to his dad and said this, but dad didn’t look so worried. Chotu asked his mom’s scooter to look for Milky, but she didn’t give him the scooter. Chotu looked sad. Tears rolled down from his eyes, then after almost 13 minutes they felt sorry for not listening to Chotu. They said they will find it after dad comes after work. Dad comes to home at 9:45 but in amazement, he came correct 5:00. What a speedy car. When dad came home Chotu got ready to go to find Milky, but it was getting dark, they thought they couldn’t find Milky before 9:00 but in luck they found Milky’s footprints in the mud. They quickly followed it, but it was the track of another dog. Then you know what happened. They all got lost. Chotu was starting to cry a little when they saw footprints again in the sand leading towards the dried well. They all think that this pond has a magic to cure anyone’s problem or disease. There was a deep magic inside the well is a story. Long time ago there was a boy whose dad is a magician and mom an artist. They all lived happily but then one day that boy accidently killed his enemy. But then he stated to dig the soil and he placed the body inside the soil near to the pond. But then after someday that body again became a human and when a guy saw this he said that the pond was magical. And that is how this pond could cure people’s disease or problems. Oh…. Sorry talking of the well is so fun but let’s continue the story. They all returned home sadly because when they followed the track of fur, they found out it was going to rain. Poor Milky must be cold and freezing but he has a doggy collar and has number in it so whomever finds her they will just dial the number. Soon someone called and dad picked the phone, but it was Vodafone and they called again and again. Soon dad got angry and threw his phone to the desk. Now if anyone who would find Milky would not be able to call dad.

Milky and her friend’s story.

“You will only know when there is something to warn you.” Quote of the day by Dad. Said Chotu. Dad knows if there is something to make Chotu happy is comedy. So, he played comedy TV show in television but one problem, Chotu was in a very bad mode. “We will find something for sure Chotu like we saw her footprint, fur etc.” Said mom. Chotu thought his mother was right. He should wait until his mom and dad finds anything, “and then presenting the king of food. The chicken 65!!” Said mom and dad together. But no use. He at least wouldn’t show a happy face. Mom said “poor child. Give him some food Suresh.” The next morning, they all again tried to find fur or footprints, but it didn’t belong to Milky. Poor Milky do not know to come back home. When she was at the city, she tried to sleep under a post. But the store guy came and when he saw her, he took a big rock and threw it at milky. She ran is pain and stopped in a shop to ask some food. When she entered the shop, they all screamed and threw plates on top of her. She found a ball, so she took it and ran out. A group of boys saw the ball and they were playing cricket. So, they took the bat, hit Milky and took the ball and continued their game. Milky still thought humans will take half of dogs love and then give it all to another pup. She ran away with a small sad face in her face. She cried as she walked through the rocky streets and by all the beat she got. She was hungry when she saw three dogs and she asked who they are. They replied, “we are stray dogs just like you our names are King, Warner and Bob.” Bob giggled as he talked, and asked “what’s your name madam?” Milky replied “I am Milky but i am not a stray, i ran away from my house. They said “come let’s build a home so that we all can stay. Milky agreed. So many things are done in Tuesday because it is the day we all will stay and work. So, it’s just like the tale of the 4 dogs. “Milky, if you are planning to build even bigger home it would be nice, I think right?” said Warner. “There we are again in different roots Warner. If you are saying this again and then I am done” said Milky. “Ok Milky as you say, although this is our home, and you are the architect.” Said Warner. If you think that Bob and Warner are brothers then right, they are brothers. Soon they lived in the house near to a big pond. When the night came the wind blew hardly that no small animals survived. They all were very scared to stay in that leaf house so they gently moved out of their wood and leaf house because if the wind blew the house, they all will also roll into the pond. Time passed and still 1:04 am so they thought that the wind would never stop. Then came the trouble, they all slept accidently so the wind blew them to the pond. Poor Milky and her teammates woke up with a terrible noise of them falling into the pond. The worst of all, King’s left leg scratched on a piece of a strong and sharp wood, and it was a lot painful. Poor king couldn’t walk or run without that leg so he had to be carried on the back of Bob.
Bob couldn’t believe that King had so much power, he couldn’t even carry him. Then all of them helped Bob carry King. By the way, they have reached the city at almost 9:00 am. By the time Chotu was going to school and saw the food that he gave to Milky when they had an evening walk just before the day when Milky went missing and Chotu quickly followed the tracks of the food leading towards the Forest near the pond. Then not soon, Chotu had found the missing broken leaf and wood House. But still, he forgot about his school. You all know what happens next, do you? Then listen, Sir Paresh again told Chotu to stand upside down until the end of the class. Poor Chotu was thinking about Milky and forgot all about the punishment. He fell in the middle of the class. His teacher scold him for a long time but he wasn’t listening, he was thinking about Milky now all the time.

One day in the road.

 After the class without going back to the house, he ran towards the pond. He quickly swam the pond and reached the other side of the pond. Then he walked towards the city. He saw 1 dog walking and one dog over the 1^st dog. They are King and Bob. By the time Warner and Milky was out finding food for the other friends. Then suddenly, Bob ran towards Chotu and scratched him all over. Poor Chotu was sad, and it was paining a lot. He fell to the road unconscious and a guy took him and helped him reach the hospital. The hospital nurse said that it was a small scratch and cannot be much painful and she had called his parents so they can take him back home. Then Chotu asked the guy who helped him get to the hospital that “Have you had seen any puppy with a collar and in the collar a name Milky?” The guy said “yes” and said “There are so many dogs, and I am the one who takes care of them every day. There is a puppy named Milky who came to my house last Saturday and I gave him a lot of food” Then in an amaze, Chotu asked, “Where was she going?” Then the guy said “Towards another 3 dogs” then the guy said, “They all had collars. 1^st one’s name was Warner, Bob and last one King but Bob was carrying King.” Then Chotu said “That’s the dog who scratched me, that one you said who was Carrying a dog.” “Okay Uncle thank you for the help, I think my parents have come so bye.” And then the guy left the hospital. When Chotu came back home after the hospital nurse said they could leave, he thought that he forgot to take the bag that he left at school and forgot about it by thinking what could have happen to Milky. By the time Milky asked them that “Did your owner didn’t like you or didn’t you like your house? I am asking because my owner didn’t like me after they bought home a new dog.

Telling the story.

Ø KING: “My owner is a Music ‘o’ life music band leader. One day I accidently barked when my owner was announcing something. Then he gave me a treat outside and when I ate it, I was unconscious. After some time, I was in a cage with an abundance of puppies who didn’t have an owner. Then I understood that my owner didn’t want me anymore.”

Ø BOB: “My owner and his wife were the happiest family in the city. I loved my owner like my bone toy but one day a naughty boy came to house, and he trashed my whole house. I tried to stop him by making him play with me and sit quiet, but nothing worked, then I accidently scratched my paw on him, but he quickly turned back, and my nail scratched his eyes while falling. Then a lot of blood came out from his eyes. And that was the time when my family came. Then i understood it was their cousin's son who was naughty, and they thought I did this and threw me out.”

WARNER (WR): “My owner is a guy who wears a brown uniform with dark green patches everywhere. He has a gun, and the gun is large. He didn’t throw me out, but he died in a fight with so many people, but he had to fight on his own. I feel proud to him because he sacrificed his life to save our country.” Then Milky said “Uh…. yesterday I thought I saw King’s owner who was putting posters of you King! Let’s go meet him. I think that your owner was just trying to keep you outside the stadium for some time, but the animal control thought that you were a stray and picked you up when you woke up, and now your owner is looking for you. That’s why I asked to know if you are the King he was looking.” The King said “Then why are we waiting for? C’mon let’s go meet my dad!!” Saying this he ran towards the stadium. They ran for hours and hours, but his dad was not in the stadium. And the posters were gone. Then they thought that it was just a dream that Milky saw. And when they turned back and left, the King’s owner was sticking posters on the opposite side of the stadium! But they missed him and left. By the time when Chotu was sleeping, he saw a dream that the guy told to him, “There are so many dogs, and I am the one who takes care of them every day. There is a puppy named Milky who came to my house last Saturday and I gave her a lot of food.” Then it was morning, and he ran to call his parents because that day onwards starts his Onam vacation so his parents was fast asleep. He called them using his terrible noise maker. They woke up with a fright hearing his song. Then he told “Mom, I just heard when I was in the hospital, a guy who helped me reach the hospital said that he used to feed every dog in this city so he must have seen Milky and if we stay with him for almost an hour then maybe Milky will come to have food with him.” His parents said, “It is a great idea Chotu but how will we find his house?” Chotu said “He gave me a note with his address so if we follow the way we may reach his house” Mom and Dad took a while and then after a long time they agreed. They quickly got into their car and followed his map. They reached his house by noon and saw that his house is full of dogs!! They barely could see him. After they found him in the balcony, he said “Hi Chotu. What brings you here?” He replied, “Uncle have you seen my dog Milky?” You must be thinking that he will say no but that is not our story! He said “Yep. He went to the big mall with a 5-star board on top. Here, take this map and go to there.”

He asked, “What is your name uncle?” he replied, “My name is Divakaran.” He said, “Thanks uncle Divakaran.” They followed his map, but she was not there. Chotu cried and cried that he didn’t find Milky. They returned home because it was almost night. That night Chotu was not able to sleep because he didn’t find Chotu. One month passed, two months passed, even they couldn’t celebrate Christmas because they didn’t find Milky. It was January, February, March and came the day which was the day. That night too, Chotu couldn’t sleep so he sneaked out of his house to find Milky. When he was walking through the paddy field where he used to work, thought he was followed by someone but thought it was just a dream and suddenly he fell asleep when he saw a white gas. After sometimes he woke up and guess what, he was with a stranger. Chotu asked, “Who are you” he replied with a deep voice, “I am the one who feeds every dog” Chotu said “Divakaran is that you?” he replied, “I am the one who feeds all the dogs children named Divakaran.” “What!?” Asked Chotu scared, “I thought we were friends, I thought you wanted me to find my dog with the map.” “Yes, I wanted to but soon as I found that you are rich, I gave you the map to track your house and these whole years I was in the attic of your house”

 

The saddest part of Chotu’s life…

          

 As soon as he completed saying this, he took a beer bottle being ready to hit Chotu but he said to himself that he will keep Chotu alive for 1 week and the next day he will kill him. Chotu cried for help, but he closed him inside the van with some food and water. 2^nd day Suresh woke up and asked Chotu to be ready but he was not in his room so he told mom that go and search the top and he must be playing with his mobile. But mom said he was not there, so they all started searching the house. Mom got scared and asked dad to check outside. After a lot of searches, they started to stick posters in the road. Mom and dad was very scared and was crying. After 2 days Milky saw the posters. He got Chotu’s smell and started to follow it. As soon as he reached there Divakaran was hitting Chotu with a stick. When Milky saw it he jumped over divakaran and started attacking him. After a big fight Divakaran attacked Milky with a glass of bottle. Poor Milky was in a great pain. But she remembered a call to invite all the stray dogs as a distress signal and when he called them everyone including Warner came barking and killed Divakaran and rescued Chotu. Then Milky started to make a low howl and Chotu rushed towards him and said in Milky’s hears, “Milky do you know that I didn’t even want to celebrate Christmas without you and every moment I spent without you was the most sad and painful moments. Do you know I love one thing the most in my life and that is you Milky” After she heard this she slowly smiled. Then they all rushed into the hospital. When they reached the hospital, the doctor said that she got the shot on a side of the brain, and she should be shifted to a big hospital in Paris and some days later they reached Paris and her treatment started in that hospital, but the doctor said she should be admitted in the hospital for at least 11 months. Chotu went down the hospital and cried inside his car because at the doctor said she might not survive if they conduct the operation which is necessary for Milky. Chotu and Suresh stayed at the hospital while Anita went to her sister’s house.

 

Milky and Chotu…

 

Suresh would go down to the café to buy a snack and breakfast and they would eat it in the café itself. Chotu was sad that he would stare at the food and think of the dinner he had before Milky went missing. When he looked through the glass of the operation theatre, he would think of the thinks Milky and him would have done if their love never broke. When he went down the hospital, he would think of Milky playing with Chotu just before Bruno arrived. Oh… and by the way Bruno was handed over to Suresh’s uncle. And after 10 months the doctor said “I have a really good news and bad news. The good news is that Milky survived, but the bad news is she would not be able to walk again because a piece of poisoned glass was entered her leg.” But Chotu replied, “Doctor Uncle, thanks for looking after my dog. I was scared that something would happen to Milky. And the doctor replied, “Mm… Milky and Chotu, what a super combination!” as soon as he completed saying that a bark was heard behind the door and 5 dog emerged from the behind and jumped and licked all over Chotu, and doctor said, these are Milky’s babies!! And again, a bark came and that was Milky! Doctor said, “i am just kidding Chotu, Milky could walk!!” as soon as he completed this Chotu went over to Milky and hugged her! And after that Milky, Susan, Edward, Green, Bella and Stella who are Milky’s babies, lived happily ever after and MILKY AND CHOTU NEVER BROKE AGAIN, AND FRIENDS, THAT WAS THE STORY OF MILKY AND CHOTU.
